Why all the Discontinued Knives?

K.J. Eriksson and Frost's Knife have been making knives for 100 years. In 2005, the two companies merged to form Mora of Sweden. That brought together a lot of experience and manufacturing capacity. In order to bring focus to the newly formed company, Mora of Sweden has produced new products, logos and advertising. Case in point are the HighQ and Bushcraft series of knives. They have combined the best of their previous models into some really top notch cutting tools.

Out with the Old, In with the New

Adding new product designs means staying abreast with the latest technology and materials. It also means that older models had to be discontinued. Even with their merged capacity there is a limit to how many different models a knife maker can produce at the same time. So some of our old favorites like the 780 or the 840 have faded into history to be replaced with new comers like the HighQ Allround carbon knife or the Bushcraft Triflex. We think you'll be referring to them as an "old favorite" in short order.

So we aren't stocking up on discontinued items just to offer you a great price. They are the same knives we've offered for several years.

We just thought you might be a little curious as to why we have so many discontinued Moras and we wanted to keep you abreast of the latest changes.
