The Soft Arkansas is the most popular grade of Novaculite. It is an all-purpose stone used by woodcarvers, sportsmen, butchers and commercial knife sharpeners. People who desire keen, polished edges on their knives and tools in a minimum amount of time use this stone.

Our stones are manufactured right here in the U.S.A. by Dan's Whetstone Company. They are made of 100% real natural Novaculite rock quarried in and around Pearcy, Arkansas. Dan's Whetstone Company owns several quarries and controls the manufacturing from raw stone to finished product.
